Calling all food lovers! Following on the heels of Jefferson County's Artisan Food Festival this past weekend, the Rose brings you two delicious food movies this Saturday and Sunday (6/4-6/5). We're bringing back SWEET BEAN because it was hit with moviegoers during its short run last week. And we're also bringing in - just for the weekend - KING GEORGES, a wonderful documentary about Le Bec-Fin, one of the finest French restaurants in the country. Sixty-seven year old owner, Georges Perrier, wants to pass the business on to a new protégé, but finds he has trouble letting go of the spatula. And to whet your appetite even more for these two culinary treasures, we're giving away during each show gift certificates to Mo-Chilli BBQ and Taps at the Guard House.
LOVE & FRIENDSHIP was expected to open in the Starlight this Friday, but THE MEDDLER continues to sell out most shows, so LOVE moves to Friday, June 10th. THE LOBSTER will likely open that day as well.
While the rest of the universe favored X-MEN: APOCALYPSE this past weekend, ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS was the unqualified hit in PT. The two movies are here for one more week.
It's still three weeks away, but don't miss out on getting tickets to our June 22nd Classics Night in the Starlight. THE MORE THE MERRIER from 1943 is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.
See you at the Rose, and the Starlight Room
