Rocky’s Review
Wind River & Spain

The talent on view in WIND RIVER is unparalleled. Jeremy Renner reminds me of a young Robert De Niro. He's that good. And from the first time I noticed her in MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE (2011), I sensed that Elizabeth Olsen was destined for a long, successful acting career. But it is WIND RIVER director Taylor Sheridan that you need to take notice of. He's been a television actor since 1995 (VERONICA MARS, WALKER, TEXAS RANGER, NYPD BLUE, CSI, STAR TREK ENTERPRISE), and he wrote the features SICARIO, and last year's hit HELL OR HIGH WATER. And judging from his direction of WIND RIVER, it seems that he has found his true calling. "A live wire thriller that knocks you for a loop." - Rolling Stone

Sizzling Gambas Pil Pil anyone? This famous tapas of prawns served in a hot, sizzling sauce of garlic, chili and olive oil can only mean one thing. Yes, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon are on the loose in Europe once again indulging their appetites. And if you like their brand of humor - and spot-on impersonations - then THE TRIP TO SPAIN (following THE TRIP and THE TRIP TO ITALY) is a perfect aperitif as the summer draws to a close. It opens in the Starlight Room Friday.

COLUMBUS is holding over for one more week, but moving to the Rosebud Cinema on Friday. And the unexpected surprise hit of the summer for us - THE LITTLE HOURS - returns on Friday for another week. Who knew that nuns behaving badly would be so popular.  Both LOGAN LUCKY and STEP play only through this Thursday.

Two special events are coming up: NO MAPS ON MY TAPS and ABOUT TAP, plays Saturday, Sept. 9 and Sunday, Sept. 10 only. And MAY IT LAST: A PORTRAIT OF THE AVETT BROTHERS plays one night only, Tuesday, September 12th at 7:30.
