The Starlight Room

Food and cocktails by the Silverwater Cafe with films curated by the Rose Theatre. A 21+ venue.

Purchase your tickets at the Rose box office, then head one door down to the Silverwater, where you’ll ascend to the 3rd floor via the elevator or grand staircase.  Once inside, you’ll find a beautiful hand-built bar where you can order beer, wine (by the glass or bottle), a cocktail, and delicious selections from a small plate menu. Rose Theatre popcorn with all the seasonings will also be on hand.

Entering the main room you’ll be treated to a stunning view of downtown Port Townsend and Admiralty Inlet, plus cozy chairs and loveseats for eating and watching the movie.  

There is no food or drink minimum, feel free to just come and watch a film!  Doors open 45 minutes before showtime.

The Day the Earth Stood Still - Starlight Room

Classics Night! When a UFO lands in Washington, D.C., bearing a message for Earth's leaders, all of humanity stands still. Klaatu (Michael Rennie) has come on behalf of alien life who have been watching Cold War-era nuclear proliferation on Earth. But it is Klaatu's soft-spoken robot Gort that presents a more immediate threat to onlookers. A single mother (Patricia Neal) and her son teach the world about peace and tolerance in this moral fable, ousting the tanks and soldiers that greet the alien's arrival. 1951.
